Thumbnail Filmstrip of Koeleria macrantha - Junegrass Images
One of the earliest maturing native grasses, it is also one of the shortest grasses often remaining under two feet tall.
Junegrass produces lustrous creamy seed heads in early summer making this plant stand out in the garden. The foliage is
also an attractive green-gray colour. Requiring very dry and sunny conditions, Koeleria macranthra makes an excellent companion
for short wildflowers such as Prairie Smoke and Wild Lupine. A great choice for green roofs!
For a solid stand of Junegrass plant at a rate of 500 grams per acre.
